The Market Place assists individuals who are seeking employment and/or wanting to find better employment, as well as employers who are looking for good employees. The ministry holds periodic career development seminars and job fairs that include services such as resume reviews, mock interviews, and much more.
Workshops offered this fall:
Don’t have a resume? Don’t worry…. In this workshop you will receive hands-on assistance to create a resume. You will learn how to present your skills to potential employers and the importance of key words.
Provide job search guidance to registrants seeking employment. Topics covered in this workshop include: Researching Job Leads, Online Job Search, The Application Process, Networking, and Telephone Etiquette.
Learn the techniques that will help you make a lasting first impression. This workshop will equip you to answer difficult questions and ace the interview.
Not enough hours in a day….this workshop will show you how to prioritize your assignments and accomplish your goals. You will also learn how to reduce interruptions that get you off track and the importance of reforecasting.
This workshop addresses the importance of proper attire relative to interviewing; the differences between professional attire vs. business casual. At the conclusion of this workshop, each registrant will receive (1) one business suit based on size availability. NOTE: All suits are based on donations, therefore we cannot guarantee availability.
