Food Pantry: 2ND & 4TH Thursday's from 11:00am - 1:00pm
Twice a month we receive deliveries from food banks to Miracle. This food is distributed to local residents and those who are in need. This food pantry has quickly become a way to not only feed people’s bodies, but their souls as well. It is means of evangelism, a way to become familiar with people & families bi-weekly and an open door to become involved in their lives. People are getting saved, lives are changing, and our church family is growing.
DREAM BIG "BACK TO SCHOOL RALLY"
From 2005 to the present we have distributed over 7,200 knap sacks filled with age appropriate school supplies to students from grades K-12. Miracle Christian Center is solid community support and we desire to remain that helping hand for parents of all social, economic and ethnic cultures. The past year’s events have been supported financially by our parishioners, corporate sponsor - EMBLEMHEALTH and others committed to the dream.
In 2011 we held our First Family Style Thanksgiving Breakfast, we serviced over 100 persons. Particpating in this efforts were student volunteers from Hostra University and the Youth Ministry of the LaProfecia Assemblies of God Church, Hempstead, NY.
"My fruit is better than gold, tea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. That I may cause; those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures. Proverbs 8:19,21
For the past sx years we have serviced over 800 families in our community during the Thanksgiving Holiday Season with a Harvest Basket with Turkey's and all the trimmings for a complete Thanksgiving meal. It has been a successful endeavor and many look forward to it yearly.
JOY OF GIVNG
Over the past nine years, Miracle Christian Center has been fortunate to adopt over 150 families in addition to sponsoring “The Joy of Giving” Celebration. This celebration gives us an opportunity to share gifts to our local community and neighboring towns. To date we are proud to have been able to give away 2000 toys and gifts to smiling faces of parents and children. This selfless act has brought the community closer to experiencing the “True Meaning of Christmas”.
We encourage all members of the body of Christ to operate in their giftings, both individually and collectively. We seek to help members to use those giftings to fulfill Christ’s Commission to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16: 15) and to reach the people entrusted to them, by God, to reach.
